WebBooks is a little different from other Internet bookstores. Rather than maintaining a huge inventory, we ship directly from the publishers' warehouse to you. This reduces overhead and allows us to sell at the best possible discount--usually at a lower price than book club, professional/member, and other reduced rates. Orders generally ship the next business day.

 

Another difference is that our search engine retrieves data directly from the publishers' websites in real time rather than from a possibly outdated database. This means that the information provided is the very latest available.

 

One other variation you will notice is that our shopping cart does not ask for payment information. When we have verified that the titles you want are available and have checked the order for accuracy and completeness, we will e-mail you an invoice. The invoice will include a secure link to PayPal, where you may pay with a credit or debit card or from your existing PayPal account. This provides enhanced security, as your credit card information is never transmitted via e-mail, and in fact we never see it.

 

Please note that orders are handled by a real, live human being, so if a book turns out to be out of stock or out of print, we will notify you promptly.

 

This bookstore is geared primarily toward practicing engineers, technicians, and academics in related fields, but our search engine is not restricted in terms of subject matter. You are welcome to inquire about any book, regardless of subject matter.
